Event Description:

Georgia has become a leading center for network and cybersecurity due to recent significant public and private investments into the state. As a whole, the industry cluster generates nearly $5 billion in annual revenue, and is home to more than 115 companies including major players like IBM, Dell, Verisign, and VMware AirWatch. The state is also home to the National Security Agency/Central Security Service which opened the Georgia Cryptologic Center in Augusta. In addition, the Army?s Cyber Command (ARCYBER) Headquarters will move to Georgia, creating close to 4,000 new jobs by 2019.

Join ACEC Georgia for this General Membership Meeting to hear from a panel of experts on the Georgia Cyber Center and U.S. Army Cyber Command Headquarters. Panelists will discuss the progress on these projects, what they mean for Georgia's economy, and the potential impacts on the Augusta region from these two initiatives (and the companies they may attract to the area).
